FESTIVIN WELCOMES CANADA’S TOP SOMMELIER

Caraquet, Wednesday, May 1, 2018 – Carl Lepage-Villeneuve, sommelier of famed Montréal restaurant Toqué! and named Canada’s Top Sommelier, will be on hand at the Grand Tastings, June 1 and 2, as part of the FestiVin de Caraquet. Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to attend workshops and learn a little more about wines on a guided tour of booths led by this great sommelier.

This year’s wine festival features a wide array of new products. More than 40 exhibitors will be introducing wine lovers to their newest arrivals (some 80% of the wines will be new). The NB Liquor Boutique and its ephemeral wine shop will be back with 86 new wine offerings. The shop, located outside the Grand Tastings, will be open to all (no ticket purchase required) on Friday, June 1, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The organizing committee is proud to announce the replacement of the Wine Cellar with the creation of a VIP section offering an improved selection of wines and a full view of the show. FestiVin 2018 promises to be another beautiful summer experience in Caraquet!
